Acatability Terms of Use
Last updated: 8 October 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Qurek Limited, a company
registered in England and Wales, which makes Acatability (“we”, “us”). By using the app, you agree to them.
Questions go to info@qurek.biz.
Apple’s standard
Licensed Application End User License Agreement
also applies. If it and these terms disagree, these terms win, to the
extent the law allows.
The app
Acatability is a journal you keep on your own or in a pact with up to
four friends. You write privately. The others in your pact see only what
the Privacy Policy says they can see.
Your account
- You sign in with Apple. Keep your Apple ID secure. Anything done in the
app while you’re signed in is treated as done by you.
- You must be at least 13 years old.
- You can delete your account at any time in Settings → Delete
account.
Free on your own
Using Acatability on your own is free, for as long as Acatability is
offered: checking in, your whole archive, search and “your days”. You
never need to pay to keep a journal.
Pacts
- A pact is up to 5 people: the person who pays and up to 4 people
they invite.
- The person who pays is the only one who can invite. Invited members
don’t pay and can’t invite.
- Shared features are: seeing each other’s check-ins and what each person
chooses to share, “days together”, and inviting people.
- If the person paying for a pact stops paying, or leaves the pact or
deletes their account, shared features pause for everyone in it until
someone in the pact subscribes. That person then becomes the payer and
can invite. Nobody’s journal, entries, “your days” or “days together”
are deleted while a pact is paused. They show again when it restarts.
- If you subscribe while you’re in a pact that someone else is paying for,
the pact stays theirs. Your subscription takes over the pact only if it
pauses. We can’t cancel a subscription for you; see below for how to.
- The person who pays can remove someone from the pact. Anyone can leave
a pact at any time in Settings → Leave pact. Leaving or being
removed never deletes your own entries.
Free trial
- Every new account gets a 14-day free trial. It starts when you
create your account, not when you buy anything. There is one trial
per account.
- During the trial you can start a pact of up to 5 and invite people, the
same as a subscriber.
- You don’t need to enter payment details for the trial, and it doesn’t
turn into a paid subscription on its own.
- When the trial ends without a purchase, any pact you started pauses (see
Pacts). Everything you do on your own stays free.
Subscription
- The Acatability subscription is an auto-renewable subscription, sold
through the App Store, billed monthly or yearly. Both give the same
thing: a pact of up to 5 that you can invite people to. The price is
shown in the app before you buy, in your local currency.
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID when you confirm the purchase.
- It renews automatically at the end of each period (each month or each
year) unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends. Your
Apple ID is charged for the renewal within the 24 hours before the
period ends.
- Switching between monthly and yearly takes effect at your next
renewal.
- To cancel, go to iPhone Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions →
Acatability, and turn off renewal. You keep access until the end of
the period you’ve paid for.
- Deleting the app or your account does not cancel the subscription.
Cancel it in Settings as above.
- If we ever change the price, Apple will tell you first, and ask for your
agreement where the law requires it.
Founding Pact (one payment)
- For a limited period after launch we also sell the Founding Pact:
one payment, no renewal. It gives the same pact of up to 5 for as
long as Acatability is offered.
- It’s on sale only until 31 December 2026. Once it’s no longer on sale,
people who bought it keep it.
- If you buy it while you also have a subscription, the subscription keeps
renewing until you cancel it in Settings as above. We can’t cancel it
for you.
- If Apple refunds a Founding Pact, it stops counting, as if it hadn’t been
bought.
Refunds
Refunds for the subscription and the Founding Pact are handled by Apple
under its own policies. Request one at

Your content
What you write is yours. You give us permission to store it and show it to
you and, for the parts you choose to share, to the others in your pact,
only so the app can work. We don’t use your content for anything else.
Don’t use Acatability to harass anyone in your pact or anyone else, to break the
law, or to try to get into data that isn’t yours.
The service
We work to keep Acatability running and your data safe, but the app is
provided “as is”. We can’t promise it will never be down or never have a
bug. We may change features over time. If we ever shut the app down,
we’ll give you at least 30 days’ notice and a way to get your entries out.
Acatability is a journaling tool, not therapy or medical care. If you are
struggling, please contact a professional or, in the UK, call Samaritans
on 116 123.
Liability
Nothing in these terms limits any liability that UK law says can’t be
limited, such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for
fraud. Apart from that, we’re not liable for indirect or unforeseeable
losses. Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for
the app in the 12 months before the claim. If you are a consumer, you keep
all your statutory rights.
Ending
You can stop using the app and delete your account at any time. We may
suspend an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms, and
we’ll tell you why unless the law stops us.
Changes
If these terms change, we’ll update the date at the top. If the change
matters, we’ll tell you in the app first.
Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live
elsewhere in the UK, you can also bring a claim in your local courts.
